Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks software
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and report preparation
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support VAT returns and HMRC compliance documentation
- Manage petty cash systems and expense reports
- Collaborate with senior accountants on financial audits
- Ensure adherence to UK GAAP and company financial policies
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or AAT/Certified Bookkeeper qualification
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Basic understanding of UK accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage accounting software
