Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records
- Process and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation (1099s, W-2s)
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for data entry and account reconciliation
- Communicate financial insights clearly to clients and senior accountants
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting internship experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and double-entry accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach with financial discrepancies
