Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure all documentation is properly filed.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the month-end close process and assist in preparing supporting schedules.
- Support the tax team with the collection of financial data and filing of basic returns.
- Conduct basic audits of financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing final year of degree).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups) is required.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
