Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain general ledgers
- Support tax filing preparation and documentation for individual clients
- Perform data entry and reconcile bank accounts with precision
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special projects and financial analysis
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for daily operations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent coursework)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to learn
- Valid Minnesota driver's license (for occasional client visits)
- US citizenship or authorized work permit
