Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Perform data entry and maintenance of financial records using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Support the payroll process by verifying timesheets and calculating deductions.
- Conduct basic audits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for tax filings and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA certification).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships included).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
