Apex Financial Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our growing finance team in El Paso, Texas. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with various accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Assist with General Ledger (GL) entries: Support the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and manage accounts receivable collections in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules for management reporting.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain organized and complete filing systems for all financial documents, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Support for Audits: Coordinate with external auditors by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) to input and track financial data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships included).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting cycles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients.
- Soft Skills: Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
