Responsibilities
- Assist with General Ledger Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify payments, and manage cash flow by reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve data accuracy using modern financial software.
- Client Support: Communicate with clients to clarify account details and provide excellent customer service regarding billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Recent graduates or students nearing completion are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity in complex financial documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
