As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will assist with various financial tasks, gain hands-on experience with accounting software, and develop a strong foundation in financial reporting and bookkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger and financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and within deadlines.
- Perform basic bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial records and digital filing systems.
- Assist senior accountants with data entry and reconciliation tasks.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data and communicate findings to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (formulas and formatting).
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn new accounting software and industry best practices.
