Responsibilities
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts accurately.
- Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting schedules.
- Support the senior accounting team with data analysis and research.
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and filing support.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
- High school diploma/GED with coursework in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, or Bookkeeping).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
