Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly/quarterly financial statement preparation under UK GAAP
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Support VAT returns and HMRC compliance documentation
- Process payroll for 200+ employees using Sage 50 software
- Conduct expense report audits and internal control testing
- Prepare management accounts for department heads
- Participate in year-end audit procedures alongside external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (2:1 or higher)
- 120 UCAS points with A-Level Maths grade B or equivalent
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Basic knowledge of Xero or QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Proactive problem-solving approach with commercial awareness
