Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping Support: Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including processing invoices and payments accurately and timely.
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, providing support for the month-end and year-end close process.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Compliance: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Administrative Support: File documents, organize financial records, and support the finance team with various administrative projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing a degree with graduation date within 6 months).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups preferred).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a plus but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume processing.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
