Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and bank reconciliations
- Support audit preparation by gathering documentation and maintaining financial records
- Contribute to month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Utilize accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks) for transaction recording
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting projects
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and UK tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to numerical detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of audit procedures and internal controls
- Proactive problem-solving approach and strong communication skills
- Relevant internship or academic project experience preferred
