Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes including invoice verification and payment processing
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and compliance filings
- Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) for transaction recording and reporting
- Collaborate with senior team members on financial analysis and budget preparation
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach and eagerness to learn
- Relevant internship or academic project experience preferred
