Responsibilities
- Prepare and process accurate monthly financial statements for SME clients
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Assist with VAT returns and HMRC compliance documentation
- Support audit preparation and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain digital financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Collaborate with senior team members on client financial analysis
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for efficiency gains
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Experience with accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
