Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Support financial reporting preparation and variance analysis
- Maintain digital and physical financial records in compliance with UK GAAP
- Collaborate with auditors during financial statement reviews
- Contribute to budget monitoring and expense tracking initiatives
- Utilize Xero and SAP systems for daily accounting operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (2:1 minimum)
- Basic understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software
- Strong numerical accuracy and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a structured environment
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn technical accounting concepts
