Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping and financial data entry using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Support month-end closing processes including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Process payroll and assist with VAT returns under supervision
- Generate financial reports and assist with audit preparation
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-department teams on financial analysis projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving abilities
- Eligibility to work in the UK
