Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, general ledgers, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support tax preparation processes by gathering documentation and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) to manage transactions and generate financial reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial inquiries and support audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience, including internships or academic projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic accounting concepts
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
