Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements with meticulous attention to detail
- Conduct bank reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific financial requirements
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support quarterly tax filings and annual audits
- Implement and optimize accounting software solutions for operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with contract/temporary work
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software platforms
- Expertise in reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance documentation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Valid California CPA license or actively pursuing certification
