Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with daily reconciliation and vendor/client communications
- Process payroll ensuring compliance with federal and California state regulations
- Conduct month-end closing procedures and assist with audit preparation
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation
- Implement financial controls and process improvements for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience in contract/temporary roles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license for local client visits
