Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyse monthly/quarterly financial statements using UK GAAP standards
- Oversee payroll processing and VAT compliance for SME clients
- Implement and optimise accounting software solutions (Sage, Xero)
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
- Provide strategic financial insights to drive business growth
- Maintain strict compliance with FCA regulations
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years UK accounting practice experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax)
- Proven track record in month-end close processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-tolerance for errors
