Responsibilities
- Process high-volume transactions and reconcile accounts daily
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and HMRC filings
- Manage month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Conduct client consultations on tax optimization strategies
- Maintain digital and physical financial record systems
- Collaborate with auditors during compliance reviews
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting certification
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in practice
- Expert proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Proven HMRC compliance and audit handling experience
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax legislation
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
