Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all entries are timely and error-free.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide actionable insights.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure cash flow accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct audits of financial documents to verify data integrity and adherence to internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize budgeting processes and improve overall financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, daily pay environment.
