Responsibilities
- Process daily transactions and reconcile accounts with real-time accuracy
- Prepare and submit weekly VAT returns and monthly management accounts
- Manage payroll processing for 50+ employees with same-day payment cycles
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust financial controls
- Support year-end statutory reporting and HMRC compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows
- Maintain digital and physical financial records per UK standards
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent UK accounting certification
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage software
- Demonstrable experience with daily payment processing systems
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and tax legislation
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with same-day deliverables
- Proven experience in temporary/contract accounting roles
