Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory guidance, advising leadership on necessary operational adjustments.
- Oversee the training and education of staff members on compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports to government agencies and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve any internal or external complaints regarding unethical behavior or regulatory violations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulations, including FINRA, SEC, or state-specific banking laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
