Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Process weekly payroll and ensure timely employee payments
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions weekly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor relationships
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns and tax compliance
- Implement and improve bookkeeping processes for efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent accounting qualification
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks software
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight weekly deadlines
- Strong communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with multi-currency transactions (desirable)
