Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process payroll accurately and on time in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation schedules and other ad-hoc financial projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role (3+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
