Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll ensuring all federal, state, and local regulations are met.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and organize financial records, ledgers, and spreadsheets.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns as required.
- Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- High school diploma or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
