Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients, including daily journal entries and reconciliation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for client review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or high-volume corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to clients in a clear, professional manner.
