Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately record and categorize daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring all taxes and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks Online or Xero; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: High level of ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
