We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in London. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC in a timely manner.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and audit schedules.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for management review.
- Ensure all financial data is securely stored and backed up.
Qualifications
- Full AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent ACCA/CIMA partial qualification).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant within the UK.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation and VAT rules.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
