Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial records are up-to-date.
- Assist with payroll processing and preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns as required.
- Reconcile credit card statements and investigate any discrepancies.
- Support the accounting team with audit preparation and year-end close tasks.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Understanding of GAAP principles and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and management.
