Responsibilities
- Manage daily bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Process and reconcile payroll for all employees in compliance with HMRC guidelines.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT returns using software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and debt collection.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare regular management reports for senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Full UK bookkeeping qualification (AAT Level 3 or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper within the UK financial sector.
- Expert proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
