Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audit preparations.
- Monitor and maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist the CFO with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
