Responsibilities
- Maintain and update general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records
- Prepare and process invoices and expense reports
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Manage payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Collaborate with auditors and other financial professionals
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) is desirable
