Responsibilities
- Manage and process insurance claims and patient billing for healthcare clients
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account receivables through systematic follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and private insurance regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and analyze financial data for process improvement
- Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to verify charge accuracy
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
- Maintain detailed documentation of billing transactions and adjustments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and reimbursement methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to numerical detail
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EHR systems and electronic claims submission
