Responsibilities
- Process Invoices: Review, verify, and process incoming invoices and payments with a focus on 100% accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve billing errors promptly.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage outstanding accounts by sending statements, following up on overdue balances, and collecting payments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date billing logs and financial records in compliance with company policies.
- Client Communication: Respond professionally and efficiently to client inquiries regarding billing statements, invoices, and payment plans.
- Month-End Close: Assist the finance team with month-end closing procedures and generate required financial reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in billing software (Epic, Cerner, or MS Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills a major plus.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards, HIPAA regulations, and general accounting principles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external clients.
