Key Responsibilities:
- Process and post payments, credit memos, and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and variances within the accounts receivable aging reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients and insurance carriers to resolve outstanding balances and questions.
- Manage the revenue cycle workflow, ensuring all claims are submitted and billed according to payer guidelines.
- Generate and analyze monthly billing reports to identify trends and improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and billing records in our CRM system.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and company financial policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong working knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance claim procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate payment terms.
