Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical/institutional billing claims across multiple insurance providers
- Manage accounts receivable cycles and resolve billing discrepancies with 95%+ accuracy
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture compliance and documentation integrity
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging accounts for financial forecasting
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and system updates (Epic/NextGen experience preferred)
- Conduct quarterly audits to ensure HIPAA/GAAP compliance in billing operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical or institutional billing experience with 2+ years in leadership
- Proficiency in billing software (Epic, NextGen, or AthenaHealth) and MS Office Suite
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) or Revenue Cycle Certification (RCC) required
- Demonstrated expertise in insurance claim resolution and denial management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder collaboration across departments
