As a Billing Specialist, you will be the face of our financial operations, handling complex billing inquiries and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service while maintaining strict compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Process and post invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure timely revenue recognition.
- Review and reconcile monthly statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Communicate effectively with clients, patients, and insurance providers regarding billing questions and outstanding balances.
- Update and maintain accurate customer and billing records in our ERP system.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end close reports and audit documentation.
- Stay current with healthcare billing regulations, coding updates, and compliance requirements.
- Identify trends in billing data and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, collections, or a related financial role.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Sage Intacct is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume setting.
