Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for insurance claims and patient accounts
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous account reconciliation and follow-up
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge documentation
- Analyze denial patterns to implement corrective actions and improve first-pass rate
- Comply with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) billing modules and documentation
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Experience with payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for patient and stakeholder interactions
