Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through precise analysis of insurance policies and EOBs
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation compliance
- Conduct regular audits to identify process improvements and reduce claim rejection rates
- Act as primary liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies for billing inquiries
- Utilize Epic EMR and specialized billing software to maintain accurate financial records
- Generate monthly reports on KPIs like days in accounts receivable and clean claim rates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential strongly preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and revenue cycle management software
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with 95%+ clean claim rate track record
- Ability to manage high-volume deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent communication skills for resolving complex billing disputes
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
