Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end billing process, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Review and verify all billing data for accuracy to minimize errors and improve cash flow.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial reports and audit documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize billing procedures and implement process improvements.
- Assist with patient/provider inquiries regarding billing statements and insurance claims.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical or revenue cycle billing.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of insurance claims, coding, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
