Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy
- Manage patient billing inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
- Reconcile accounts receivable monthly and prepare aging reports
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation
- Collaborate with coding team to verify CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial billing
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table proficiency
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to meet 15+ daily claim submission targets
