Responsibilities
- Manage full accounts receivable cycle: invoice generation, payment posting, and reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries with exceptional communication
- Process complex insurance claims and third-party billing with meticulous attention
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to optimize cash flow
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes
- Generate monthly revenue reports for executive review
- Continuously improve billing processes through automation initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in medical or technical billing environments
- Proficiency in billing platforms (e.g., Epic, Oracle, or Meditech)
- Strong understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance protocols
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with EDI and electronic payment systems
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+
