Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy using Epic and Medisoft systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account issues within SLA timelines
- Conduct monthly audits of charge masters and CPT/ICD-10 coding compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services and ensure proper coding
- Generate financial reports and analyze aging reports for revenue optimization
- Train staff on billing policies and maintain HIPAA compliance documentation
- Interface with insurance companies to resolve claim denials and payment delays
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in healthcare or SaaS environments
- Expertise in CMS 1500 forms, UB-04 submissions, and EOB processing
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and revenue cycle management software
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working with diverse insurance networks (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
