Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process a high volume of daily transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Customer Service: Greet members warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and products, and resolve complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, balance daily settlements, and adhere to strict security and audit procedures.
- Product Promotion: Identify member needs and actively cross-sell our suite of financial products, including savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of transactions, update member accounts, and assist in branch operations during peak hours.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with federal and state banking regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Prior cash handling or customer service experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong mathematical skills with the ability to count money accurately under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on member-centric service.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technology: Proficiency with computer systems and banking software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry) is a plus.
