Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process a high volume of daily transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and products, and resolve issues with patience and professionalism.
- Cross-Selling: Proactively identify opportunities to recommend and sell our suite of financial products, such as CDs, IRAs, and credit cards, to meet branch goals.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, balance daily settlements, and ensure strict adherence to bank security and audit regulations.
- Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with members by providing personalized service and following up on their financial needs.
- Operational Support: Assist with lobby operations, such as ordering supplies, managing queues, and ensuring the branch is clean and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous cash handling and customer service experience in a banking or retail environment is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to count money quickly and accurately; basic computer proficiency required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict compliance and regulatory standards.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required by branch needs.
