Your Role
As a Bank Teller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. Your primary focus will be on accuracy, security, and delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle daily cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing for customers.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and services, and resolve issues with patience and professionalism.
- Account Management: Assist in opening new accounts, processing account closures, and explaining products to potential clients.
- Cash Balancing: Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation to ensure the cash drawer matches system records within strict guidelines.
- Product Sales: Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote financial products such as CDs, IRAs, and credit cards to meet branch goals.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all bank security policies, BSA/AML regulations, and audit requirements to prevent fraud and money laundering.
- Operational Support: Assist with lobby maintenance, ATM replenishment, and branch security procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail banking, cash handling, or customer service.
- Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and bank software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict regulatory compliance standards.
- Licensing: Must be willing to obtain any required state or federal licenses within a specified timeframe.
