Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve account inquiries
- Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate transaction records
- Identify and cross-sell banking products (loans, credit cards, accounts)
- Adhere to strict security protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Assist with ATM operations and night vault services
- Train new tellers on banking procedures and systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year cash handling or customer service experience
- Strong mathematical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Proficiency with banking software and digital tools
- Familiarity with financial regulations (Regulations CC, EFTA)
- Basic knowledge of Detroit's diverse communities preferred
