The Role:
As an AP Specialist on the night shift, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial outflows, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time while maintaining rigorous audit trails.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Perform daily reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Manage the AP general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in our ERP system.
- Maintain vendor master data and negotiate payment terms where appropriate.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, specifically focusing on the night shift deliverables.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment schedules.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support the finance team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role.
- Mandatory: Must be available to work a night shift schedule (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor relations.
